Calling All Volunteers!

Hello to all and thanks for visiting our blog!

As we draw ever nearer to our production dates (July 20-24), we still need volunteers to help in many areas, from food service to transportation to scene extras. We are looking for talent in every area and if you feel like you have anything to contribute, we need you! Whether you can be on set for an hour or all five days, we will gladly accept anything you feel you can give. If you want more information about what positions we need filled, please respond to this post or send us an email at wordsofmyfather68.6@gmail.com.

Even if you can't be on set, there are still plenty of ways to get involved:
  1. Donate - whether it be money, supplies, or encouragement, we appreciate it all!

  2. Promote - tell your friends and family! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Blogger.

  3. And finally... Pray! More than anything else, we seek God's guidance and blessing as we continue this project.

We'd also like to thank everyone who has already made contributions of time and resources. We certainly couldn't be doing this without you!

With Many Thanks and Blessings,
The Words of My Father Team

Overdue Update!

I apologize that I have been rather lax in posting updates! Things have been rather crazy around here.

Well we are currently tearing through the week before production! 7 days from now we will have begun shooting principal photography! This week is a week of organization. Every single shot must be planed down to the last movement so that once production starts we are being absolutely efficient with our time and resources.

Today I am finalizing all of the orders for the rental houses! Friday is the exciting day that we will head down to pick up our several tons of equipment.... very excited to see what it all looks like, and to have the weekend to 'mess around' with the crew!

Every day I continue to be blessed by the support that flows in. Checks in the mail, every day, letters of support, emails of prayer... It keeps coming. Thank you so much for all of your support, we will all be needing it!

If you haven't already, join our facebook page! I will be posting behind the scenes pictures, videos, and stories as much as I can, and it will be a great way to stay connected!

Keep us in your prayers, and keep watching for more exciting updates.

Welcome!

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our blog! This is my first post here, but I plan to continue posting updates as we weave our way closer to production, and beyond. As my countdown at the bottom says, we are 14 days away from production! This number is very scary, and if I let myself think too hard I begin to have mini panic attacks. However, I must simply continue breathing and move on.

Yesterday was a very productive day as we continued our search for locations. Myself and Hannah (my script supervisor) drove all through downtown fresno and scouted various locations. We were blessed to find several that we are very excited about, and have already begun inquires with the owners. We will be continuing this process this weekend as we head upstate to San Francisco tomorrow to scout for locations there.

From the technical side of things the production is continuing to fly together. So far all of my rentals are available during the time I need them, which is a MAJOR blessing. However, one of the only big stumbling blocks remaining is insurance. I had been hoping that I could avoid this abyss of complication, however it has met me head on. I need a policy of $1,000,000 in liability insurance to progress with my rentals, and pulling film permits. This actually isn't AS bad as it seems because I only need the policy for about 10 days. However, considering how I only have 14 days before production I need the process to move very fast. Please keep this in your prayers this weekend as beyond as we continue to try to move forward on this process.

Everyday I continue to be blessed by unexpected sponsors and contacts from every direction. This is a major help, and God is definitely keeping me busy! I hope you all have an amazing 4th of July weekend! Feel free to follow this blog and continue to check back here as I chart our journey.
